Tokyo Yamate Medical Center
A consolidated, compact design
As a core establishment of all social insurance hospitals in Japan, this hospital aims to contribute to the community with its advanced medical care function and serve as a first aid base in case of a disaster. In addition to its advanced consultation and treatment functions, the hospital has many functions to satisfy urgent needs in case of a disaster. As part of its site was opened as an evacuation site for local people and as the building site has become narrow, the building’s floor plan was made a compact rectangle, with clear and simple lines of traffic being drawn.
