A sustainable institute embraced in greenery
This institute was built under the basic concepts of responding to changing times, high quality, and a facility (for study, experiments and storage) operable 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. As for safety and security measures, the institute was designed by giving consideration to earthquake countermeasures and enhanced durability provided by a base seismic isolation structure plus a precast pre-stressed concrete (PCaPC) structure, as well as measures for deodorization, the absorption of vibration, prevention of noise, and disaster mitigation. As the energy-saving measures, highly energy efficient equipment, energy saving lighting, motion detectors, and other devices were adopted in addition to roof greening, paired glass, double walls, and high heat insulation specifications.
