A community hospital pursuing friendliness and security
This base hospital in the life cycle is where the elderly can easily visit by themselves and which can accept emergency patients 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The building’s exterior has an image of irregularly laid bricks in harmony with the greenery of forests, where ample natural light is taken from a light court and skylight windows, coupled with a bright and soft interior design using woody materials. Aiming to build a hospital that is friendly to people and the environment, such devices as solar generators, ecological hot-water supply system, electrified kitchens, ice thermal storage, and a heat storage floor-heating system are adopted. The hospital is characterized by many multiple-bedded rooms laid out in the shape of a fan to give the impression of private rooms, thereby reconciling the privacy of patients and the ease of nursing.
