A community-friendly hospital with two approaches
The plan at this time is to add a new building to the existing buildings of Kobari General Hospital and Kobari General Clinic for the purpose of establishing an obstetric (maternity and gynecology) facility and a pediatric care facility (i.e. pediatric outpatients facility, pediatric ward) in view of the recent situation where more general hospitals are withdrawing from obstetric care facilities due to a nationwide shortage of doctors and the difficulty of running the department, and for expanding the Artificial Dialysis Center in response to the recent increase in renal impairment patients. One characteristic of the plan is to provide the hospital with two entrances for patients and visitors. Arranging the entrance for maternity/gynecology and pediatrics on the north side, and that for artificial dialysis on the south side results in the formation of approaches with consideration given to infectious diseases. This enables different groups of patients to smoothly approach their intended departments, and also gives each entrance its own features to help clarify the characteristics of each department.
