An innovative design of multi-bedded rooms that gives the impression of private rooms (i.e. creation of compact traffic lines, composition of space where staff can work with quick movement, places for communication)
While the functions and images of medical facilities are becoming increasingly diverse, we thoroughly pursued the functions essential to hospitals (i.e. pursuing the purpose of treating diseases as an acute phase hospital considered “the most hospital-like hospital”), and at the same time, sought to realize a “functional and human-friendly hospital”—the original starting point of any hospital—by reconsidering what amenities should be provided to patients in an acute phase. We also aimed to construct a building that can harmoniously exist with the surrounding environment by making the most of Toyanogata’s natural splendor and the nearby street scenery, as a disaster-resistant and reliable hospital capable of flexibly coping with future changes.
