The 80th Anniversary Project to protect the Noto Peninsula
This is a project to reconstruct the main building of the Keiju Medical Center, the core facility of the “KEIJU Health Care System”—a complex group engaged in “health care, welfare, nursing care, and health services.” The plan is to integrate the facility with such software aspects as enhancing the flexible, universal patient services, so as to improve its various functions and efficient operation as a base hospital for acute phase and advanced health care services in the Noto Peninsula region, while simultaneously making such improvements as BCP (Business Continuity Plan) along with measures to prevent liquefaction, protective measures against floods and tsunami, and building a seismic isolation structure, landing field, roof evacuation space, etc. Consideration is also given to user amenities including a brick-red exterior based on the hospital’s tradition, an interior design that incorporates locally produced materials and traditional crafts, views making the most of the environment surrounded by Nanao Bay, and a natural landscape covered in greenery.
