A growing university hospital
This hospital that originally began with 200 sickbeds has now grown to become a representative acute phase university hospital in Saitama City with 600 sickbeds, thanks to an extension of its South Wing (completed in 2008). It is equipped with facilities designed from a patient-oriented viewpoint (e.g. a spacey central waiting hall in a semi-cylindrical dome structure, open waiting space in each ward, hospital streets) and with the advanced medical care facilities of a university hospital.
