An open, healthful nursing school that cultivates specialization and rich humanity

This is a plan to newly construct a school as part of a station-front redevelopment project, making it necessary to build a facility that will play a role in revitalizing the community as a new “landmark of the town.” By arranging the glassed-in students’ lounge, open ceiling, and staircase in consecutive order facing Kanagawa-Shinmachi Station planned for renovation, a “visual contact point” for students and the town was created. And by characterizing the building with the sharp formation of wide eaves, the intent was to express a lively exterior that would lead to the formation of scenery in station-front redevelopment.
