A general medical center for responding to advanced medical care in the 21st century realized by consolidating and eliminating seven existing municipal hospitals
The plan was made as part of efforts to commemorate the 100th anniversary of Osaka’s municipal system, and intended to enhance the amenities for patients and the efficiency of hospital functions, including the improvement of hospital rooms focusing on habitability and advanced medical equipment, establishment of an emergency medical care center that can respond to the needs of all medical departments, development of a portable calling device for patients in consideration of outpatient waiting time, and the setting of light courts and roof gardens at various points.
