A life support hospital
Aiming to realize a “life support hospital” open to the community and which will grow and develop together with local residents, a plan was made to establish a facility where the functions of Omichi Hospital (acute phase) and Bobath Memorial Hospital (central nervous system rehabilitation) are optimally integrated. Given the many wheelchair users expected here, close consideration was given to the method of communicating with local residents, the space design, finishing materials, and other elements in detail, under the keywords of “gentle and friendly communications.”
