An urban-style hospital practicing the formation of a hospital incorporating the Planetree model
In order to realize a plan for a functional facility within its limited site size, consideration was given to cooperation between highly advanced medical treatment departments and prompt actions as “a vertical hospital.” In order to secure quick movements from the emergency phase to image diagnosis, surgery, ICU, CCU, and to SCU, those departments were laid out vertically, and a dedicated vertical line of traffic using elevators was established. This is the first hospital in Japan that has participated in Planetree, a NPO in the U.S. The plan is intended to build up a hospital where the staff can pleasantly work, as well as improve the care environment focusing on patients.
